JPC’s leadership is intentionally diverse and inclusive, working with residents from the neighborhoods of Woodlawn, South Shore, and Hyde Park. With a board comprised of representatives from each the Park’s surrounding communities, JPC is cultivating not only the biodiversity in the Park but the tapestry of perspectives on the Park. “Jackson Park is an incredible resource contributing to the health and wellbeing of every resident on the South Side and beyond, with its natural beauty and opportunities for respite and recreation. We applaud the formation of a park conservancy that will help preserve this natural gem and draw new resources to it,” said Leif Elsmo, Executive Director of Community & External Affairs at UChicago Medicine.
